Zurich Airport is the largest and busiest airport in Switzerland. It handles hundreds of flights a week from cities all over the world, including flights from Edinburgh to Zurich. It is a full-service airport with many facilities, including money exchange services, a business centre, a post office and several banks, shops, bars and restaurants. The airport is about 12 kilometres from the centre of Zurich and can be reached by train, bus, shuttle, taxi or car.
If you are staying at one of the local hotels in Zurich, the most efficient way to travel may be on a shuttle bus operated by the hotel. Many local hotels provide this service and it will take you directly to your destination. However the Swiss Rail train is probably the fastest way to travel to Zurich since it only takes about 12 minutes. A train leaves the airport every 10 minutes and can be found on Level G02 of the airport near arrivals. There are also trams, buses, taxis and car hire services located at the airport.
